Suriname Faces Race Against Time to Prepare Workers for 15,000 New Jobs by 2030, Says Report

Suriname's Jobs and Skills Radar 2030 warns that the country's economic boom from oil, tourism and agribusiness will only translate into inclusive growth if education and workforce skills are rapidly upgraded to meet industry demand. The report urges policymakers, development partners and the private sector to strengthen education, vocational training and labour market reforms so that Surinamese workers, rather than imported labour, benefit from more than **15,000 expected new and upgraded jobs by 2030**.
